Project Harmony
Project Harmony is a low-cost, handheld screening device for early Parkinson's disease that works completely offline.
It is designed for community health workers, so it needs no neurologist and no internet, and it gives a plain-language result in under three minutes.
It screens using three biomarkers: bradykinesia, hyposmia and tremor. I am building the prototype now. Two design applications, one for the round Orb and one for the wand-shaped Pen, were filed in India in September 2026 (518377-001 and 518386-001).
The first examination report for 518386-001 came on 14 October 2026. It raised only paperwork issues, none about the design's originality, and my reply is due by 18 March 2027. The next steps are clinical testing and partnerships.

Emergent Ventures confirmed a $1,500 grant on 23 April 2026 to develop a handheld diagnostic pen for Parkinson's disease, and the Lotus Fund added a $100 grant on 15 October.
