Indigo IRIS

I was a research scholar in Indigo Research's Intensive Seasonal (IRIS) Program in computer science, a six-week online course, on a scholarship worth about $4,200. I completed it with distinction, mentored by Dr. Eric Sakk of Morgan State.

I benchmarked 11 machine learning models to build KAAN, a 333 KB offline app that listens to stored grain and detects pests in five languages, with 97% accuracy. It advanced to the Jury Round of the India AI Impact Festival.

I wrote the method up as a paper, and the code is open source under the Apache 2.0 licence.
