GradCircle Professional Immersion Internship

In November and December 2025 I took part in the AI/Tech cohort of GradCircle's Professional Immersion Internship. My project was a fake news detector.

I co-developed it on the ISOT dataset. We cleaned the articles, extracted 5,000 TF-IDF text features and added sentiment polarity and subjectivity scores. Then we trained and compared SVM, decision-tree and neural-network models, with and without the sentiment features. The decision tree did best, at 99.57% test accuracy.

My mentor was Gautham Muthukumar, a Principal Product Manager on Azure AI at Microsoft. He wrote me a letter of recommendation.
